iTECH is the division of ISOMED PHARMA focused on distribution of specific equipments for the analysis of breath samples.

It also has a qualified team of technicians ensuring after-sales services like preventive and corrective maintenance, calibrations, fine-tuning and repair of distributed test equipments.

Installation and Start-up Assistance:

The installation and start-up assistance of the spectrometers and other analyzers used to analyze breath samples are very important activities to be carried out. Instructions and recommendations of equipments’ manufacturers have always to be followed, in order to avoid any further problems that could arise from incorrect installation by inexperienced staff.

It is for this reason that ISOMED PHARMA has a team of fully trained technicians in the installation and assistance of any of these equipments. In addition, our technicians have highly specialized training to conduct a thorough analysis and define the best operating parameters to reach the highest possible accuracy and precision, always according to manufacturer’s specifications.

Preventive Maintenance:

ISOMED PHARMA has a complete service maintenance program consisting of periodic visits to check the equipment installed, perform the tests required and make necessary fine-tunings to help avoid costly downtimes.

In this regard, our partners can rely on integral assistance, regulation compliance and accurate results.

Corrective Maintenance and repair:

This service is designed to respond quickly and effectively to our customers needs when, for any unexpected reason, equipments used begin facing dysfunctions.

In ISOMED PHARMA, we have a large team of technicians who can travel to our partners’ premises at any time of the year and carry out necessary repairs to keep the equipments in working order.
Upon a Notice of Repair, our operator will indicate to our partner day and time of technician’s visit. The said visit should be done in less than 72 hours for the Spanish Territory.


Spare parts and consumables:

iTECH can supply all spare parts and consumables for distributed equipments.

In all repair operations carried out by our technicians, only manufacturer’s original spare parts will be used, applying always the official rates.


Calibrations, checking and fine-tunings:

If our partners need to ensure that the equipments perform measurements conveniently, iTECH can give a precise monitoring and control support, providing always with the evidence of conformity with the specified requirements.

For this, a full calibration, checking and fine-tuning service is provided, in compliance with start-up assistance, maintenance or repair program. Calibrations will always be compared to national or international standards.

Isotope-Ratio Mass Spectrometer:

It consists of a gas chromatographic detector coupled to an Isotope-Ratio Mass Spectrometer, able to measure isotopic ratio ¹³C/¹²C:

• Used gases: Helium 99,9992% (as pulling gas), liquid CO₂ 99,999% (as reference gas) and synthetic air (to trigger valves).
• Mass range: 44, 45 y 46 (3 collectors)
• Internal Reference Gas Precision:1s; n=10: < 1 x 10-6 δ ¹³C
• Precision using real breath samples: 1s; n=10: < 0,2 δ ¹³C
• Coefficient of variation for breath samples: 0,7 %
• Each exetainer tube containing a breath sample can be analyzed 5 times

Isotope-Ratio Infrared Spectrometer:

This is an analyzing machine which detector is a non-dispersive infrared spectrometer. It is able to measure isotopic ratio ¹³C/¹²C:

• Used gases: Air
• Range of wavelength for absorption of ¹³CO₂: (2230 – 2320) cm^-1
• Range of wavelength for absorption of ¹²CO₂: (2290 – 2390) cm^-1
• Precision using real breath samples: 1s; n=8: < 0,5 δ ¹³C
• Coefficient of variation for breath samples: 2 % δ ¹³C
• Each exetainer tube containing a breath sample can be analyzed only once

Hydrogen, methane and carbón dioxide analyzers:

This equipment analyses hydrogen and methane under principles of gas chromatography separation, using also a thermal conductivity detector. There are available models that detect and correct breath samples for contamination with room air and dead space during the breath collection procedure.

• Used gases: Air and calibration gas (H₂, CH₄ y CO₂)
• Accuracy: + 2 - 3 ppm or 5% of complete scale for H₂ and CH₄; ± 1% CO₂
• Precision: 1 ppm de H₂ and 1 ppm de CH₄
• Linear range: 2 - 150 ppm H₂; 2 - 75 ppm CH₄; 0,1 - 7% CO₂
• Each exetainer tube containing a breath sample can be analyzed only once

Hydrogen analyzer:

This equipment allows to measure hydrogen concentration in exhaled air. It’s a small device, easy to carry and used by a wide range of health professionals.

• Concentration range: 0 – 500 ppm
• Detecting feature: Thermal detector
• Precision (repeatability): ± 2%
• Batteries: 3 alkaline batteries AA (LR6 o equivalent)
• Running ambient temperature: 0 – 40ºC (storage, 0 – 50ºC)
